The WISDOM TOOTH Clinic

I went to Tooth Angel for a surgical wisdom tooth removal because it was hurting and had been dragging for the longest time. After searching for a clinic, I decided to come here because of the glowing reviews on Dr. Melvin Chia, and luckily my appointment was with him. Before I continue, I just want to say I felt NO PAIN during the surgery (except for the anesthetic injection 2/5). The clinic is very clean, calm, and welcoming, with soft music that helps you relax. Registration was simple, and it was great that I could use Medisave. Before the surgery, the staff gave me some pills and gently reminded me what each one was for. They applied a numbing spray before the anesthetic injection. My nurse, Shirley, was so kind and gentle. She explained every step and even gave me a little squishy toy to hold when I asked, because I was so scared. Dr. Melvin Chia was cheerful, calm, and reassuring. Now I understand why everyone loves him. He explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable. I was still quite nervous on the chair and kept telling him I was very scared and even asked him to tell me when he removed my tooth. The surgery was so smooth and painless that I didn’t even realize when the tooth was already out. It was done within 10 to 15 minutes. There was an intern standing beside the doctor to learn, which made me a little nervous at first since tooth removal feels like such an intimate thing, haha. However, Dr. Melvin made me feel so peaceful and at ease i felt like i was learning together with them hahaha! Even though the price is a little higher, I truly recommend Tooth Angel to anyone who is EXTREMELY AFRAID of dental visits or extractions. I had a mild panic breakdown before my surgery, but everyone there was so kind, calm, and understanding. You will feel really safe and cared for here. I would definitely come back here again. If you are extremely afraid of dental clinics, this is the place to go. Now is day 9 of my recovery and i can basically eat anything again and have no pain anymore!

I had my lower wisdom tooth surgically removed by Dr Melvin Chia 10 days ago and I’m truly grateful for the entire experience. From consultation to post-operative review, everything went very smoothly. Dr Chia is extremely friendly, gentle, and professional. He took the time to clearly explain the X-ray findings, the procedure, and possible risks before starting, and made sure I fully understood everything before signing the consent. This gave me a lot of reassurance. During the surgery, I felt no pain at all, only the sound of drilling, and the whole procedure took about 15 minutes. The recovery went very well, and the follow-up review confirmed that healing was on track. I’m very thankful to have been treated by such a skilled and caring dentist. Highly recommended for anyone who is anxious about wisdom tooth removal.
