Dr. Eric Lye is an outstanding oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He performed my complex jaw surgery with exceptional skill, and my recovery was remarkably smooth — I had minimal pain and healed quickly. 3 years later, I had the plates and screws removed, and the procedure was painless with fast recovery. Dr Lye's skills are exceptional, he is really professional, kind, and always so patient in answering every question thoroughly, which made me feel confident throughout the entire process. I truly believe he is one of the best in this field and highly recommend him. The clinic staff are always so helpful and friendly. This review is long overdue!! Dr Lye treated my daughter for double jaw surgery, which was successful and with smooth recovery. Scheduling was quick, and the finances were clear and easy to understand. Throughout we were in patient and very good and kind hands. Dr Lye takes the time to explain everything with clarity and good humour, answering questions he’s probably heard hundreds of times. He’s also a complete expert, with decades of experience, and makes constructive suggestions without being pushy in any way. He also will not push a premature surgery, only when the time is right. The front desk staff was also cheerful and kind, always making sure we were comfortable and responded to in a timely manner. This made a very difficult and stressful decision, procedure, and recovery so much more bearable. Later when I needed an implant, of course I went to Dr Lye as well. The implant went well, and I also experienced the same characteristic kindness, gentleness and good humour. No question or concern is dismissed here, everything is addressed with care and clarity, even if sometimes it’s just silly nerves, or anxiety around these painful procedures. All the procedures were executed without a hitch, with clear explanation and a gentle hand, with rapid healing. We feel so lucky to have worked with this practice, which is the perfect blend of professionalism and humaneness, and are forever grateful.
