When you find a good dentist, keep on going to him, even if he is in Tuas. This was what my old colleague told me and I have heeded her advice over the past 10 years. I have been taking the MRT from Choa Chu Kang to Bedok and sometimes Tampines and Loyang, to seek the help of Dr Ang. I have never been disappointed. Much has been said about his caring nature and efficiency. I vouch for that! However what I really appreciate is that he also gives practical, easily do-able advice on how to provide long term care and after-care for my dental works with him. He is also very spot on in figuring out the root cause of my problems, and he always solves them speedily and effectively. I agree with everyone in the reviews here! Do travel to Bedok, or Loyang or Tampines. Thankfully, there is no need to go to Tuas.
Visited Dr Jennifer Goh at Premier Dental (Blk 418 Bedok North #01-63 S460418) to do a Scaling & Polishing. Experience was very good 😊 She explained upfront that due to my gum problem, she would try to clean (scale) deeper, and that I could just let her know should I feel uncomfortable at any time. It's good to know and be mentally prepared 😊 During scaling, Dr Goh repeatedly asked if I was ok at different points, whether I felt sensitive or painful. This was reassuring. At the end of the SAP, she also spoke with me about my lower wisdom tooth, and why it was not functioning (as the upper wisdom tooth was not there), and that it was causing my gum problem near the area. This gave me more serious thoughts about extracting it in the near future. Dr Goh was thorough in the treatment but gentle. For those who dislike, are afraid of, or are apprehensive about visiting a dentist, I recommend you see her 😁 In general, a person should visit the dentist to do a Scaling and Polishing (SAP) every half-yearly. I guess that's why the government subsidises PG, MG and Blue CHAS card holders for 2 SAP treatments every year. Those with poorer oral health or have a higher risk of dental problems should visit a dentist more frequently, and I think those with very good oral health can visit less frequently, eg once a year.
Made an appt to do scaling and polishing with Dr Ang. Dr Ang is very gentle with the polishing and explains in detail and gives clear directions on when not to open the mouth too wide so as not to overstrain your jaw. Very happy to have found a go-to Dentist. Do note that they have 2 other dentists, and Dr Ang is only at this clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
