Nourish Dental Sleep and TMJ Care

We had a very positive experience with Dr. Chionh, who saw my mum for concerns about persistent dry mouth and thick, stringy saliva. From the moment we walked in, Dr. Chionh was patient, gentle, and incredibly thorough. He took the time to listen carefully to her symptoms, explained the possible causes in a way that was easy for us to understand, and made sure my mum felt calm and reassured throughout the consultation. His examination was meticulous yet very gentle, which we truly appreciated as she was already feeling uncomfortable and worried. What stood out most was his professionalism and compassion. He didn’t rush us, answered all our questions, and gave clear advice on the next steps and how to manage her condition at home. We left feeling much more at ease and confident that she was in good hands. Dr. Eric is amazing! I first consulted him after suspecting my teeth-grinding habit was giving me migraines. On my first visit, he conducted a very thorough check-up and concluded that I was having TMJ headaches and cervicogenic headaches. I also had high blood pressure, symptoms of fibromyalgia, and symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome. I did a sleep test that showed I had mild sleep apnea and significant snoring that was likely affecting my daily functioning. He suggested I get a mandibular advancement device to wear at night as well as another mouth guard to wear in the morning. I’ve been wearing the mandibular advancement device and morning mouth guard for about two months now, and the way my sleep and daily functioning has improved is astonishing. My second sleep test showed that my snoring decreased from 23% to 2%, and my sleep apnea is now non-existent! The frequency of my headaches has greatly decreased, and my blood pressure has stabilized. I have more energy and experience a lot less pain—in fact, I’m so much better that I don’t meet the criteria for fibromyalgia anymore! It’s incredible how fixing my sleep has made such huge improvements on so many aspects of my health. I’ve been living with chronic fatigue and generally poor health for years, and I’m super grateful for Dr. Eric and his expertise. I’m looking forward to continued improvements as I keep wearing my mouth guards. The staff at Nourish are always kind, patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Eric and his staff to anyone with sleep issues or other related issues!

I was referred to Dr Eric by my endodontist many months ago as I was facing an aching jaw which made chewing difficult and affected my quality of life. Dr Eric was not only thorough in his diagnosis, he was also very detailed when explaining my condition and the treatment process. The clinic staff were equally attentive, and I felt well cared for during every visit. I think what really left a huge impression was when Dr. Eric offered to cover the cost of making my second splint, since the first one no longer fit due to a miscommunication between my regular dentist and the endodontist. This experience left a positive impression, especially since I was initially skeptical about seeing specialists for my jaw issue, fearing I might be overcharged or asked to pay for treatments I didn’t truly need. However, Dr. Eric’s professionalism and genuine commitment to improving his patients’ quality of life truly impressed me. Thank you once again for everything.
