Denticare – Bishan — General Dental Treatments

On Sunday 14 December early in the morning, I had a bad headache that radiated from the head to the jaw. I went to a GP who did a brief examination and told me it could be due to a number of factors including an auto immune response to my arthritis. I was given some panadol and told to monitor my condition for the next few days. I was told that I should also go to a dentist to get my gums checked in case it was an inflammation of the gums. So I made an appointment at the Denticare branch at Bishan close to where I live. It was really easy and convenient to do the online appointment and I got a slot immediately the next day on Monday 15 December at 12pm. I turned up at the clinic and was impressed by the clean environment and calm ambience and more so by the very cheerful and polite receptionist at the counter. I was shortly ushered into the treatment room where I met the dental surgeon, Dr Lee Sin Chieh. She was patient in listening to my recount of the symptoms and did a detailed examination of my gums followed by an x-ray of my mouth and nasal cavity. Throughout the entire procedure, Dr Lee was extremely professional, gentle and thorough and took time to explain the results of the x- ray which showed that my sinus was situated very close to the right side of my upper jaw and that the jaw pain was likely due to an inflammation of my sinus as there was no visible gum infection. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. The charges were also very reasonable ($38.50 for consultation and consumables and $80 for the x ray). The total bill came to $129.17 including 9% gst but with my Chas MG subsidy, I only paid $87.67. Would totally recommend Bishan denticare and Dr Lee for the very professional service and reasonable charges.

If you require more complex dental work, I highly recommend Dr Lee Sin Chieh. She is very experienced and gives good referrals. I find her skilful, direct and assuring. The front desk is manned by Sarina who is warm and efficient.
