B9 Dental Centre — Clementi

It was the first visit for my 7 year old son and he had a few cavities which required fillings. I was impressed how the doctor engaged and talked to my son (by using simple terms easily understood by a child) regarding the procedures that were about to take place and she gave him lots of assurance and encouragement along the way while the procedure was on-going. This helped to ease the tensions that he had and I must say it was definitely a good first experience for him. I visited the clinic on another occasion for my check up and it was another doctor who had seen me. This doctor was equally professional and did the same to explain my condition before starting his procedure. No waiting time as I managed to see the doctor at the appointed time. No tension, no pain and yet another pleasant visit.

I did some research on dental clinics and made a couple of calls before I made my selection. I was able to get thru the receptionist to make an appointment and went down for both an xray and consultation with Dr. Palani to decide on the treatment for my wisdom tooth. In both recent visits, I had around 10-15mins waiting time from my appointment time but it's generally a smooth process. The nurses/assistant were pleasant to help me with the xray as well. What I was most impressed with is Dr. Palani's skills and experience. I was very nervous to have my tooth extraction (as many have warned me about the pain) but Dr. Palani was reassuring and his experience allowed the whole process to be done in 15min. I am glad I managed to sort out my wisdom tooth issue within a week with a smooth booking, waiting and treatment process. I would go back to Dr. Palani again but he is only at Star Vista outlet every Thursday while the rest of the week at Toa Payoh branch. Visited 4 times, 3 of which to the same dentist, and had tooth extraction. Very helpful and informative, explaining the current oral condition, and procedures to be taken. Only times gums bled besides tooth extraction was when there was tartar. Dentist advised on how to better clean areas more prone to plaque, and have not had gums bleed from cleaning since.
